This is all just a deadly precedent being set and it sure takes the attention off of V.A. and Benghzi and the other numerous scandals. Obama the juggler....

I'm glad you have no doubts - but........

My doubts have nothing to do with it. I looked at your post and wondered how the current situation could be modified in which you'd be agreeable. Of course, if your favorite scapegoat Obama wasn't somehow connected, I doubt you'd give any of this a moments thought.

If I have doubt, it's about the genuineness of your own motive in this issue.

My motive is discussion.

Different viewpoints that maybe someone has not thought of themselves.
I don't have a dog in this fight. The kid is not mine and I don't know any of these Idaho people.

I do know who the bad guys are right now.

Bergdahl is a traitor. Pure and simple. He needs to go to prison with the other traitor, Snowden, whose days are also numbered. See that beret there? That was mine when I served in combat. I know what a traitor is.

That may be true. If there's evidence he should be charged and get a trial. I can't think of any war where we didn't negotiate the release of our POWs.

Don't you guys watch any movies? While they were sleeping we put tracking chips in the released prisoners and as soon as they gather in their hide out...........BOOM!

The ones he used on Kurds and Iran, then moved into Syria?
Our government certainly didnt have a problem with his gassing the Kurds in 1983. Why the sudden change of heart in 2003?

exactly what WMD's did he move to Syria?
the non partisian Iraq Survery Group was formed for the express intention of getting facts on this matter and reported: "Based on the evidence available at present, ISG judged that it was unlikely that an official transfer of WMD material from Iraq to Syria took place. "

WikiLeaks’ newly-released Iraq war documents reveal that for years afterward, U.S. troops continued to find chemical weapons labs, encounter insurgent specialists in toxins and uncover weapons of mass destruction.

Have one that was more professionally photoshopped?

That one actually looks photoshopped, but fear not, there are plenty of actual pix of Rummy and Saddam.

It's just like everything else...we liked Saddam (gave him money, chemical weapons, helicopters, jets, etc...) until we didn't like him, and then we invaded his country and sank two economies.

I'm surprised at the partisanship on this thread.

Israelis have traded way more than five for one of their own, and rightfully so.

We're getting out of Afghanistan, how could we leave this guy behind?

If he's done something worthy of a trial, so be it.

At least it'll be American justice.
