Vacation for new driver

So I just made seniority. Do I get no vacations for this year?

When you make seniority, you are treated as a new employee for vacation purposes. Meaning, you keep all your weeks you are qualified for, but you have to wait a year to use them.

Now that you have made seniority, search out your steward.
Learn the contract and the seniority list.
Once you know both, identify the top 5-10 by seniority.
Now you're looking for the 2 or 3 that don't look scared, mad, or glassy eyed.
Befriend these drivers and listen to all they have to say.
You will be much better served with this system rather than following the advice you will get here.
I don't mean this as an insult to anybody giving advice here.
It's just that it is so different from building to building, like it or not.

thats what I did and the rest is history. I rose to the top(or the thankless position of steward) because I was taken under the wing of all the tough ass charismatic old union and whacked out teamster guys as a twenty four old newbie who was scared of the dark and ready to fight because I had a chip on my shoulder wild card grievance filer and straight up loyal to a fault young buck. Take bubbles advice it's from his heart.
