you cannot voluntarily demote


Umm....

I've seen it happen twice. Both times, after being promoted to center manager.

One asked to go back to running the preload, and the other one back to on-car-supe.

The preload guy didn't like the hours or stress, and it caused some problem at home.

The on-car guy was moved to a different center and didn't want to move or drive.


They both went back.

I've seen a IE Sup self demote to a IE specialist. Not saying a operations person can't self demote, but unless you are in the room to witness it. 9 out of 10 times a station manager choices are to take an extended center assignment, be demoted or fired. That manager can spin what happened anyway they want to an hourly. But I been on calls where ish hit the fan for a manager and it was spin to the drivers a whole different way.
