“I disagreed,” Trump tweeted Sunday, “with doing this very small (tiny) section of wall, in a tricky area, by a private group which raised money by ads. It was only done to make me look bad, and perhsps it now doesn’t even work. "

Well, that's another lie.

"Trump has repeatedly pushed for Fisher to get a wall-building contract, urging officials with the Army Corps of Engineers to pick the firm—only to be told that Fisher’s bids did not meet standards. Trump’s entreaties on behalf of the company have concerned some officials who are unaccustomed to a president getting personally involved in the intricacies of government contracting."

By May, the Post had reported that Trump was “aggressively” pushing behind the scenes to have Fisher Industries chosen for the contract. Cramer told the paper that the president liked Fisher because of his appearance on Fox News. “You know who else watches Fox News?” Cramer asked.

As a result, then-DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said in the spring that Fisher could bid for the contract, despite the concerns of Army Corps and DHS officials that Trump was improperly influencing what is designed to be an impartial process.

Illegal crossings has been cut down 80 to 90% in southern California alone , border patrol agents have said that the wall helps them do their job more efficiently . I personally think they should put security cameras on top of the wall, and if it cuts down on drug and sex trafficking even 50% the wall is well worth it!!!

Drugs and sex trafficking aren't happening via land.

...says the drug and sex-trafficking expert of BC
"After the government built fences in San Diego, drug smugglers turned to the ocean, underground tunnels and, most commonly, the ports of entry. Last year more than 90 percent of the drug seizures happened in the port of entry, where millions of cars drive into San Diego from Mexico every year."

Again, no one is suggesting the wall is the be all end all solution, or the ONLY point of entry for the USA. But not having one sure makes it alot easier to smuggle in kids and women for sex-trafficking. Digging tunnels is not an easy thing to do even with heavy equipment. Trust me Ive done construction for over 23 years. Ive seen the huge equipment that it takes to bore tunnels. These people are trying to be quiet and discreet which means primitive tech, which means years to dig. We find one tunnel, we fill it in with concrete, and they have to start all over. *shrug* Thats why we have a CBP in the first place. People will attempt to exploit the border for eternity in all kinds of different ways. The goal is to make it more difficult for them to do so

Your making my point , There are more big time drug busts now because they can concentrate more on other area's , they found a huge drug smuggling underground tunnel in California not that long after the wall was built and the coast guard has made some huge busts in the last couple of years !!!!

It will be fine
