What is considered overtime?

Right, anything over 8 is OT in the 177 local, PT or full.

In the beginning I was told anything over 25 hours was considered overtime and that's how its always showed on my previous checks and on the OR Monday however I just looked at my pay stub and it showed 28 hrs regular pay and the rest in overtime. So is it only the extra shifts we work considered overtime?

No....that varies by local. In your local, Yea. In mine...PTers only get time and a half for a Saturday if their shift is over 5 hours. Double time on Sundays

No....not for PTers working a voluntary sixth shift Saturday. I don't know if that applies to a forced Saturday for weather emergencies. Yea, Sundays are double time.

No....you either get OT after 5 hours a day...or OT after 40 hours (like the seasonal PTers get). You can't have both, it's apparently considering "Pyramiding".

Yea we lost a bunch as PTers in the last contract in my local. We no longer can leave after 5 hours....OT is mandatory if necessary. And while we have the right to work based on seniority, seniority has no bearing on leaving first....sending guys home is at the discretion of management.

Even if it's just one shift?

If your shift runs 11 hours you would get 6 hours OT. But other than that,OT is after 8 hours.
