we live in a society dominated by monopolies and a stock market where top 10% own 90% of all stocks

in addition in italy they have marcora law which encourages cooperatives. italy has more than any country.
Yet amazingly people start businesses and succeed in the U.S. all the time. But that takes long hours and hard work which you have a deep fear of.

Ummm

“Hard times for the main European economies. The specter of recession looms over France and Germany, while Italy's GDP stagnates and the government's 1% growth target for 2024 seems unrealistic. On the other hand, the data from the United States are quite good, even if this didn't help the Democratic candidate in the last elections”.

I don’t think Italy or for that matter Europe is the success you think it is.

countries always go in and out of recessions. some countries have better welfare states than others. its clear we dont. germany still makes things. america only makes weapons now. america will have have a recession eventually soon since it happens about every 5 years and its been 5 years since the last one.

some countries have work life balance. we do not.

Who is we? I have seven weeks of vacation. Two personal days, 9 Paid holidays and weekends off.
If you can’t have work life balance with that amount of time, I don’t know what to tell you.

Not to mention that after 30 years you get to retire with a pension and get a whole lot more life balance while only in your 50's.

And the ones that fail? Many of their owners try again. You just want high pay for minimal hours worked, months at a time off with pay, and no boss telling you to get to work.
