I had never even heard of shipping zones prior to this thread.
I'm trying to figure it out myself but it seems like zones are based on transit time for for shipments? In which case, wouldn't your zone change depending on the origin of whatever shipment you may be expecting?

I'm pretty sure its based on locations. IE florida, and arizona would be zone 1 locations. Maine would be zone 4 or whatever is the last.
so the places that would benefit most with AC will be the first to get it.
