United Parcel Service (UPS) Reports Next Week: Wall Street Expects Earnings Growth – NASDAQ

Wall Street expects a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when United Parcel Service (UPS) reports results for the quarter ended December 2021. While this widely-known consensus outlook is important in gauging the company’s earnings picture, a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.

The stock might move higher if these key numbers top expectations in the upcoming earnings report, which is expected to be released on February 1. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.

While management’s discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it’s worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.

UPS becomes latest partner of Russell Center, launches nationwide small business campaign – Atlanta Business Chronicle

United Parcel Service Chief Marketing Officer Kevin Warren toured the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurship last year. He described it in one way — impressive.

He felt the history in the hallways of Herman J. Russell, the center’s namesake who founded one of the largest minority-owned businesses in the U.S in the 1950s. Energy coursed through the building’s layout of conference rooms, workspaces and lounges.

“It really felt like you were in Silicon Valley,” Warren said. “Those creative spaces drive innovation.”

UPS (NYSE: UPS) is the latest corporate giant to support RICE, a business incubator supporting Black entrepreneurs with mentorship, community and workspace. Financial technology company Fiserv Inc. (Nasdaq: FISV), the Atlanta Hawks basketball team and fast-food franchise Chick-fil-A have also put dollars behind the incubator.

UPS delivery driver gets promoted after leaving a kind message for a new mom – VT

One UPS driver had proven that a little kindness goes a long way.

After taking the time to congratulate a recent customer on her newborn son, the universe rewarded Dallen Harrell – in the form of a promotion.

It all started when Dallen made a delivery near Jessica’s family home, where she had put out an ‘It’s a Boy’ stork lawn sign after her son’s birth.

Later that month Dallen returned to Jessica’s house and, remembering the stork, left a sweet message on her doorbell camera.

“If this is the ‘It’s a Boy’ house… I hope all is going well with your newborn,” Dallen said, before wishing the family a happy holidays.
