Hi I was just wondering if somebody could give me an estimate of how much a part-timer could expect to get from their pension a month for 30 years of service?
Not rare at all. Most FT employees worked years as PT and will receive 2 pension checks. 1 for PT and 1 for FT.No---for the most part, it is either/or, not both. There may be some who will receive a PT pension from the company plan and a FT pension from the union plan, but that is rare.

I don't know how the Union PT pension plan works. If they worked all of those years in a union plan they would receive one check.

You do have the option of a 401k plan. UPS does not match a dime but it is available.I think my pension is from the company
And 401k is from teamsters
If I can get 401k & pension that would be lovely.
401k is independent from any pension plan. 401k plan is controlled by you.I think my pension is from the company

But you do receive a pension for life which most company's are eliminating.Ya they dont match any money for the 401K which totally sucks.
I'm curious why dont they match any money towards a 401k?
