Paying the 9.5 grievances may still be cheaper than the cost of adding someone in FT AND paying for their benefits. The benefits is the kicker in the equation.

What job do you have with the company?

He runs the "zamboni" that cleans up after all the drivers have left.

If EVERYBODY who was eligible for the 9.5 list would get on it, everyone take their lunches and breaks during the day (as per the contract), and 8 hour days were exhausted by all drivers every month, UPS would HAVE to bring on more people.

However, UPS knows this will never happen, so they keep running the hell out of drivers who would rather bitch and moan than take advantage of these contractually agreed upon options for lightening up the dispatches.

No.

How many times do we need to go over this.

This falls is in the same category as, "If I work overtime, the government takes it all in extra taxes".

Why won't the Union crack down ASAP on the 9.5 issue? How many times do we have to file? I'd hate to see a bunch of drivers go down right before peak due to excessive repetitive motion injuries.
