UPS growth spurs additional pilot hiring
UPS is making plans to hire an additional 150 pilots in 2006 and at least 150 more in 2007 to support the growth and expansion of its air business. This announcement brings the total number of UPS's new UPS pilot hires to 600 since October 2004. UPS's decision to hire additional pilots is driven by several business factors, including international growth, attrition, and the recently announced contract between UPS and the U.S. Postal Service.
