Canadian ups retirement plan

I am going to be 58 next month.
Not quite dead yet.
I know things are probably different everywhere,
but if I retire now instead of reaching 60,does anyone
know how much difference it would make?
I was talking to a fellow driver and he said it's about 5%
But I forgot to ask 5% of what?
I know I should go to HR and try to get real answers,
but they are never there when I have time.
I was reading that chicken is cheaper than cat food.

i think the earliest is 50, no? But they penalize 1/2% off every year but I could be wrong. I don't care how small my pension is... all I want is a monthly souvenier. Once eligible I'll be gone.
