from an article retweeted by ralph nader:

"1. The old politics is over. The fault lines of the new politics are not cultural issues like guns, abortion and same-sex marriage that divide the Democratic and Republican bases. They are issues of political reform and economic justice that divide both party’s elites from both parties’ bases, and the American people from their government. On these issues we find the elites of both parties shockingly alike. Among them: global trade; financial deregulation and prosecution of financial crimes; the social safety net including Social Security, Medicare, a living wage and health care for all; above all, the “soft corruption” of pay to play politics."

ah yes what a wonderful investment. pay in 10 dollars for every one you hope to get back.
Couldn't agree more. Screw Social Security. I don't care about the baby boomers who paid into social security. They voted for the politicians that squandered all their money, they shouldn't expect their children to pay for them to sit on their asses for the last 30 years of their life. Cut the benefits, they should get what they deserve, instead of expecting their children to pay for their mistakes. ;)

Let's not forget all the "new" Americans who obama invited into this country . Who are collecting their shares of the wealth without ever putting in a single dollar themselves .

that's plain stupid. Baby Boomers have been forced to pay into a retirement plan that loses money every year. they are hoping to live long enough to get their money back.
Why does it lose money every year? What have the politicians they've been voting for all these years done to stop it? Sometimes people get exactly the government they deserve, and they shouldn't expect their kids to pay for their failures.
