Not surprised United healthcare a little above nothing. Back up plan friend they can’t find Ground suckers than just reduce pay and benefits to Ground level than have everybody deliver everything.

The ACA requires it for employers with over 50 employees at a location.
While health insurance isn't required by state law, federal law requires employers with 50 or more full-time equivalent employees (FTEs) to provide health insurance benefits with minimum essential coverage (MEC). Key words minimal coverage

They don't have any money

Ok ,he called back and said it’s retiree insurance but still have not seen anything official
We've often heard the catch phrase "legacy costs" and the need for employers to divest themselves of those burdensome and unjust "legacy costs" . By the sound of things FDX retirees who don't know what "legacy costs" are might just be in for a painful education.

Health insurance for retirees are gong away. Not COBRA or RHPA. This is the insurance policy you can purchase through FedEx. I understand they're stopping it because of low enrollment. They want ~$1300/mo for me alone. Yes, it's reimbursable, but, damn

Important Announcement about Your FedEx Retiree Health Benefits
The FedEx Corporation Retiree Group Health Plan (Plan) has seen year-over-year declines in participant enrollment, indicating that more FedEx retirees are choosing to find health care coverage elsewhere. Due to this continual decrease in participation rates, the FedEx Corporation Retiree Group Health Plan will close effective January 1, 2024. There will be no change to the FedEx Retiree Health Reimbursement Arrangement, featuring the Retiree Health Premium Account (RHPA).

What does this mean for you?
  • You keep your RHPA! As an eligible retiree, you (and, if applicable, your eligible Spouse) will continue to have access to the balance of your RHPA(s). Keep in mind, the RHPA can be used to reimburse (up to the amount in the account) eligible premiums for a wide range of health plans, including unsubsidized coverage you purchase on the federal Health Insurance Marketplace at healthcare.gov or state exchanges, coverage you purchase from an insurance broker or insurance company, other employer coverage purchased with after-tax dollars, and Medicare premiums.

  • FedEx medical, dental, and vision coverage will end at midnight on December 31, 2023. Our records indicate that you (and, if applicable, your eligible dependents) are not enrolled in medical, dental, or vision coverage through the FedEx Corporation Retiree Group Health Plan currently, so this should have little to no effect on you.

  • Access to the Medical Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) associated with the FedEx retiree medical plan options will also end at midnight on December 31, 2023. Since our records indicate that you (and, if applicable, your eligible dependents) are not enrolled in a FedEx medical plan option, this should have no effect on you.

  • You will no longer receive annual enrollment communications from FedEx.

The Affordable Care Act to the rescue. Just think of the growth in the supply of experienced Express delivery people available to Ground contractors. People who will have to come out of retirement to earn the money needed to buy their own health insurance while counting off the days until they can enroll in Medicare.

If anybody still believes that Express as they currently know it is not going away, this latest betrayal should be the final wakeup call....But hey, just look at the the money they made last quarter thanks to 1.8 billion in cost cuts taken right off the backs of the people who made FDX Express what it was...until recently. .

And the news gets even better. After Fats and Raj gets done disemboweling the pension benefits for current retirees it might leave them with incomes so low that they would qualify under the expanded Medicaid program provided that they don't live in one of the 6 states that refused to join the program.

Seriously, This outrage will hopefully prove that employee loyalty is a thing of the past.

This post is about some rumor. But benefits season is approaching. We’ll soon see how benefits might actually change. It might mean a $5,000 deductible, but hey, I have health insurance.

There's no way they can come back from a 3% raise, it doesn't matter how many hot dogs they give out during peak.

Only way they can make it right would be by giving us a maybe a 10%+ raise and april fools us.
