" There was word coming from the whitehouse back in Feb. that he and the democrats were considering a tax on those who currently have healthcare, but I have not heard much about it since. What is ironic about this is this was the idea put forth by McCain during his presidential bid, but his idea included offering a tax credit for those purchasing their own health insurance. Obama's plan is to tax those who have to give to the have nots. This is nothing new when it comes to Obama administration economic policies. Just remember that to our president if you work hard for what you have and earned your way through life you are wealthy and therefore subject to increased taxation in order to pay for those who want to sit at home and watch jerry springer all day."
Wow! You covered many issues in one post. The ones who have health insurance are already paying for those who do not have health insurance in the form of higher hospital charges, doctor fees, lab tests and state and federal taxes. There is not just one group (indigent) that is the problem. To correct the problems ALL groups are going to have to work together for a solution-Insurances, Hospitals, Doctors, Labs, Nurses, Phamaceuticals, and the American Taxpayer, retiree, handicapped, and those on public assistance. Obama's first steps are to bring these groups together, recognize the fiscal unsustainability to Government, Business, and the American People for healthcare, and present a plan to this great nation that will preserve our A1 healthcare at a more sustainable cost. Many of our problems in the United States are not going to be fixed by legislation, but by us being better citizens to our nation.
