There's no blaming Obama in this situation ,the media is making it more public, they stop one terrorist group and another one rise,it will never end, just look at the history of violence in that region. My condolences go out to the families who are affected by this RIP.Unfortunately will still happen after obama.
So, because you say it will keep happening....that's reason to do nothing. At least if we are vigilant, we are trying....but to just throw up your hands and say "Oh well" is Obama's plan and it doesn't work.
Borders, people!!

If you are honest (not likely) what Obama is saying is that removing ISIS is easy but without a political solution, all we are doing is creating another power vacuum.

If it's so 'easy', do it !! He's all talk.
I don't want to see U.S. citizens (in the US) 'vacuumed' up by those creeps.

So your excuse went from he shouldn't have a plan because it would be challenged to he can't address two things at once?

In fact, US regime change policy in Syria was directly responsible for the rise of ISIS over these past three years. As journalist Eric Margolis observed recently, the emergence of ISIS is the “mother of all blowback.” The neocons who want us to get tougher on ISIS, including a US attack on Syria, are the same ones who not long ago demanded that we support groups like ISIS to overthrow the Assad government in Syria. US-trained and funded “moderates” from the Free Syrian Army joined the Islamist militias including ISIS, taking US weapons and training with them.

Three years of supporting any force that might overthrow the secular government of President Assad has produced a new monster in the Middle East that neocons insist the US must slay.

This is what the republican talking heads and some democrats will not acknowledge. The truth is, there is no solution at this point in time.

How long has Obama been president and how long has he tried for regime change in Syria?
So who is at fault for ISIS gaining power?

No, the GAFFE was the he didn't have a plan.

That's a difference without a distinction.

The reality is that we don't have any good options, hence no strategy.

Unless you have the stomach for another full-scale invasion (you may, I doubt the American public does), we're sort of screwed here...the blame game misses the point. We started this, we screwed this up, and realistically there is no way we can fix this. Even a full-scale invasion would only bring us right back around to where we are now.

Unless or until the populations of these countries take matters into their own hands, anything the US can do is palliative.

Haven't you learned? War for the sake of war is foolish. If there is no viable governmental system you get ISIS and the like.

What do you think about that, anarchists?
