It's all over, but the crying

Now that the dust has settled....

Some fairly obvious conclusions can be made.

FZ and his group, have witnessed what little support they have.

The H&H "red vest" supporters are indicative of how the membership votes.

Despite the denial, FZ is (now) TDU.

They are his "puppet masters" pulling the strings.

Teamsters United and TDU are already trying to spin the facts.

For those of you, that were "shocked and appalled" by viewing the enthusiastic support

of the delegates at the convention....

Are you new ?

This isn't the girl scouts.

An outside entity, should have no voice in the democratic Teamster process.

Leadbelly summed it up.

TDU sucks.

They always have.... and always will.

Agree, our Union isn't perfect, but then again which one is. Like I stated before, I don't know FZ. He might be a good guy but he does not have the manpower, support or resources to pull out a victory. FZ and the majority of supporters are from the East Coast and were affected by the International imposing the UPS contract. Out here on the West Coast, no one cares about FZ and his boys. Doesn't help that FZ and TS had to switch roles since TS was voted out of his own Local. Doesn't sound like a winning team to me. What they should do is concede. Live to fight another day and save the IBT the money that will be spent on a useless election.

You may not have noticed, Bug, but an "outside entity" has had a very large "voice in the democratic Teamster process" for the past 24 years. That would be the Independent Review Board. Some might say that they actually forced that democratic process down the throat of a reluctant IBT. A review of the back pages of our magazine over the past 24 years would indicate that the IRB holds all the cards and that they take few prisoners. You're right..."this isn't the girl scouts", but taking the goon notch down a level and respecting the rights of a diverse membership might just take us in a direction where government supervision would be replaced by our own ability to conduct ourselves without oversight. You know...like most responsible adults.

Was it the IRB that got rid of Carey?

Bug-----Are you condoning the behavior of some of the delegates?

Is there someone in particular.... you are referring too ?

More civility.

A kinder, more gentle version of the Teamsters.

We already have that.

The 70% of members that don't vote.

And, the 95% that let UPS walk all over them.

Rest easy.

"Some" of us.... take care of the problems, for you.

Nah...not resting easy, and not real comfortable with some of you taking care of problems that have existed for many years. You go ahead and take care of your 2,000 members. We'll keep an eye on the rest of it.

Yes, 5hobbits. That's sort of my point about the "outside entity" overseeing the Teamsters. Carey was later found not guilty by an actual court of law. You know...a real judge...a real jury.
I got what you're saying brown eye. The IRB works when you want to get rid of H people but when they got rid of Carey they made a mistake.
