Negative use of new contract

    This thread will list all of the abuses of the new contract for the next 5 years.

    such as

    part timers in progression forever

    grievances for 9 5 still being ignored

    firings because of gps

    new part time benefit problems

    etc etc

    please post when you see violations so we can see how bad this thing was in 5 years.

    Well, the first of the negative issues with the new contract have popped up here in the Midwest.

    PCM for part timers telling them to sign up for new benefit plan and pick what beni package you want to be under.

    Packages explaining benifets are in the mail as we speak.

    Why weren't these package explanations sent out before the vote??

    Did UPS not know what the new benefit plan would be? Yeah right

    Now these part timers will not be able to pick their doctors or dentists (who in some cases they have been using for 20 or more years)

    New Part timers also were told that they would not be eligible for benis for 12 mon or 18 mon for family coverage. This news caused more than a couple new hires to quit.

    I'm glad I'm not part time but I was for 10 years and voted this down.
