New diver in CA!

I just finished my training and passed the test I start Tuesday I'm excited to start working and all but is there anything I should know before I start? is there anything I should bring with me? and what can I do to ensure I survive my 30 days?

I'm a full time permanent driver off the street they hired 8 of us off the street so I got lucky haha

If you just got hired, most of your first 30 days won't count towards seniority because you'll be working during the "free period" which is peak.

Not if they were hire as permanent FT drivers. The "free period" is for Seasonal employees. Of course the OP could have misunderstood what HR told him or they lied.
