No Union BA's working!

One thing I've learned is if you don't file grievances to show there are serious problems you will rarely see your BA.. He is just running to the other centers where they do file grievances.. And if you don't attend meetings and/or participate in the union by at least VOTING... Your voice will never be heard. The last thing is.. We the members are the union.. We pay dues to pay for the cost of running the union and we hire our business agents thru a voting process.. If you have a problem with the job your BA is doing.. Fire him/her by voting for a better candidate when the time comes. They are paid to do what they do.. And our contract is a legal and binding agreement that is protected and enforced by federal law. BA's have a legal obligation to uphold the contract.. It is not optional.

The problem (in my local anyway) is that the BAs gravitate to the hubs and side with management on inter building disputes for feeder work. As long as the hubs can enjoy that status quo they will continue to keep voting for those BAs. And if by some miracle someone from an outlying building gets elected, which has happened here the past, they quicky learn how to play that game in order to stay relevant to the hub and keep their position. That leaves the rest of us out in those outlying buildings left with only one option. The NLRB. And that is no easy task.

So you see.....its more political than anything else. And some BAs are better than others at making sure they cover their voting base FIRST and foremost instead of giving equal representation to ALL that they are SUPPOSED to represent.
