Where I am nobody cares if you come in and set up your truck on your own time- I don't because the moment I set foot in the truck the loader starts decking the packages and I don't get paid to do his job.


Kmart sux. So does Walmart. And Orion.

Work hard but more importantly work smart. Take a few minutes and sort the truck. Try to bunch all pieces for a stop together. If five pieces are on the shelf and over sized is on the floor make note of it on one of pieces on the shelf. If you have a dock delivery and it is loaded towards the front, start moving it back a few pieces at a time before you get to the stop. Most important, take care of your customers! If you are pleasant and professional you would be surprised how much they can help make things go smoothly whether it be helping load/unload or being readily available for signatures.
