Re: Obamanation here today

Dr. Krauthammer is on Fox News. He is an M.D. and a lawyer and is paralyzed from the neck down. A friend went to hear Charles Krauthammer. He listened with 25 others in a closed room. What he says here, is NOT 2nd-hand but 1st. The ramifications are staggering for us, our children and their children.

Last Monday was a profound evening, hearing Dr. Charles Krauthammer speak to the Center for the American Experiment. He is brilliant intellectual, seasoned & articulate. He is forthright and careful in his analysis, and never resorts to emotions or personal insults. He is NOT a fear monger nor an extremist in his comments and views. He is a fiscal conservative, and has received a Pulitzer Prize for writing. He is a frequent contributor to Fox News and writes weekly for the Washington Post. The entire room was held spellbound during his talk. I have summarized his comments, as we are living in uncharted waters economically and internationally. Even 2 Dems at my table agreed with everything he said! If you feel like forwarding this to those who are open minded and have not drunk the Kool-Aid, feel free.

Summary of his comments:

1. Mr. Obama is a very intellectual, charming individual. He is not to be underestimated. He is a cool customer who doesn't show his emotions. It's very hard to know what's behind the mask. The taking down of the Clinton dynasty by a political neophyte was an amazing accomplishment. The Clintons still do not understand what hit them. Obama was in the perfect place at the perfect time.

2. Obama has political skills comparable to Reagan and Clinton. He has a way of making you think he's on your side, a agreeing with your position, while doing the opposite. Pay no attention to what he SAYS; rather, watch what he DOES!

3. Obama has a ruthless quest for power. He did not come to Washington to make something out of himself, but rather to change everything, including dismantling capitalism. He can't be straightforward on his ambitions, as the public would not go along. He has a heavy hand, and wants to level the playing field with income redistribution and punishment to the achievers of society. He would like to model the USA to Great Britain or Canada
.

4. His three main goals are to control ENERGY, PUBLIC EDUCATION, and NATIONAL HEALTHCARE by the Federal government. He doesn't care about the auto or financial services industries, but got them as an early bonus. The cap and trade will add costs to everything and stifle growth. Paying for FREE college education is his goal. Most scary is his healthcare program, because if you make it FREE and add 46,000,000 people to a Medicare-type single-payer system, the costs will go through the roof. The only way to control costs is with massive RATIONING of services, like in Canada. God forbid!

5. He has surrounded himself with mostly far-left academic types. No one around him has ever even run a candy store. But they are going to try and run the auto, financial, banking and other industries. This obviously can't work in the long run. Obama is not a socialist; rather he's a far-left secular progressive bent on nothing short of revolution. He ran as a moderate, but will govern from the hard left. Again, watch what he does, not what he says.

6. Obama doesn't really see himself as President of the United States, but more as a ruler over the world. He sees himself above it all, trying to orchestrate & coordinate various countries and their agendas. He sees moral equivalency in all cultures. His apology tour in Germany and England was a prime example of how he sees America, as an imperialist nation that has been arrogant, rather than a great noble nation that has at times made errors. This is the first President ever who has chastised our allies and appeased our enemies!

7. He is now handing out goodies. He hopes that the bill (and pain) will not come due until after he is reelected in 2012. He would like to blame all problems on Bush from the past, and hopefully his successor in the future. He has a huge ego, and Dr. Krauthammer believes he is a narcissist.

8. Republicans are in the wilderness for a while, but will emerge strong. Republicans are pining for another Reagan, but there will never be another like him. Krauthammer believes Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty and Bobby Jindahl (except for his terrible speech in February) are the future of the party. Newt Gingrich is brilliant, but has baggage. Sarah Palin is sincere and intelligent, but needs to really seriously bone up on facts and info if she is to be a serious candidate in the future. We need to return to the party of lower taxes, smaller government, personal responsibility, strong national defense, and state's rights.

9. The current level of spending is irresponsible and outrageous. We are spending trillions that we don't have. This could lead to hyperinflation, depression or worse. No country has ever spent themselves into prosperity. The media is giving Obama, Reid and Pelosi a pass because they love their agenda, but eventually the bill will come due and people will realize the huge bailouts didn't work, nor will the stimulus package. These were trillion-dollar payoffs to Obama's allies, unions and the Congress to placate the left, so he can get support for #4 above
.

10. The election was over in mid-September when Lehman brothers failed, fear and panic swept in, we had an unpopular President, and the war was grinding on indefinitely without a clear outcome. The people are in pain, and the mantra of change caused people to act emotionally. Any Dem would have won this election; it was surprising it was as close as it was.

11. In 2012, if the unemployment rate is over 10%, Republicans will be swept back into power. If it's under 8%, the Dems continue to roll. If it's between 8-10%, it will be a dogfight. It will all be about the economy. I hope this gets you really thinking about what's happening in Washington and Congress. There is a left-wing revolution going on, according to Krauthammer, and he encourages us to keep the faith and join the loyal resistance. The work will be hard, but we're right on most issues and can reclaim our country, before it's far too late.

Do yourself a long term favor, send this to all who will listen to an intelligent assessment of the big picture. All our futures and children's futures depend on our good understanding of what is really going on in DC, and our action pursuant to that understanding!! It really IS up to each of us to take individual action!! Start with educating your friends and neighbors!!!

Statement from Dr. Charles Krauthammer
about his American Experiment Annual Dinner Remarks[

A number of people have asked about the availability of an audio recording or transcript of Charles Krauthammer’s brilliant remarks at American Experiment’s 2009 Annual Dinner on June 1. We’re sorry, but Dr. Krauthammer has informed us that he does not disseminate comments made at private events. He also has advised us that a summary of his speech on the Internet is “neither accurate nor authoritative.” His full statement follows. The Center regrets any disappointment or confusion.

* * *

This account is neither accurate nor authoritative. My views on Obama are well known. I’ve explained them in a series of five columns. This email is somebody putting his own ideological stamp and spin on my views.

One giveaway of the superimposition of someone else's views on mine is the rather amusing use of phrases that I never use. To take just a few examples randomly: "God forbid," "far left secular progressive," “this is the first president ever who has chastised our allies and appeased our enemies!” “no country had ever spent themselves into prosperity,” and, the real doozy,"states rights.”

My views are clearly spelled out in that series of columns and subsequent writings. Anyone who wants to know my views should consult those and not this email

Thanks for your diligence so early in the A.M. I just trusted the person that sent it to me.

How do we know that what you printed is really from the Krautmeister?

Re: Obamanation here today

The way it works is, you hook some black boxes in-line to the fiber that carries all our electronic communications, including voice (all digital now, you know). Then you set up computer programs to analyze all that traffic and put stuff in databases.

This is a really poor method of getting actionable intelligence, for a variety of reasons that will be left as an exercise for the student. HINT: too much chaff means it's easy to lose the wheat.

.

This is really funny. You now claim that the government is hooking flight data recorders to everyones phone lines to record their conversations. You can admit it you were being a drama queen and have no idea what you are claiming. It would probably take three to five people to monitor every conversation of just one citizen so you never even attempted to answer where did they get the manpower to monitor every citizens conversation.

On a side note do you have any idea what actionable intelligence is? No need to answer that as I already know the answer. It is heck no.

Re: Obamanation here today

I am not suggesting that we apply our Constitution and civilian justice system to combatants captured on actual battlefields. We have a perfectly capable Uniform Code of Military Justice for that, -AND- established International Laws of War based on the Geneva Conventions. Both of which were blown off by the Bush Administration.

In addition to that, the Bush Administration claimed broad powers to the Executive that included declaring that legal residents, and even citizens, arrested on the streets of the US, could be summarily declared to be 'unlawful enemy combatants' by the fiat of the President, and that they therefore had no rights whatsoever, including the right of Habeas Corpus.

Get the actual facts involving the situation here, rather than parroting something Dick Cheney has promoted. At the end, even President Bush came to realize that Dick was too far outside the reality-based world to be listened to anymore.

My side are still hurting from laughing about your claim of using flight data recorders to monitor your telephone conversations.

What US citizen was detained and not given a trial? Give me the actual facts. I got tired of looking for one and you would think that if Bush had an American detained in our country and not allowed a trial that would be everywhere so I am beginning to think you just made that up also.

Also you just made a false claim that Bush blew off international laws.

She holds grudges to this day eventhough she left me for an older fella for more emotional pampering and security, she has everything many consider the American Dream. I can't imagine why she's still not happy and takes it out on me. (Maybe she misses my phyisical pampering:wink2:)....Oh did I forget to mention she's Republican, we mix like oil and vinegar now.....Moreluck and Tooner, kind of remind me of my ex, with all the GW Bush bashing that went on, the dynamic duo surely won't let a stone go un-turned at the opportunity to take a shot of pay back at the new Adm.. Just one drawback ladies, you can't divorce the Brownman in the Whitehouse unless of course, Klein/DS has a couple of extra rooms in Canada...:happy-very:..What's going to make you guys happy again ? More wars ? Tax cuts? A birth certificate? Tea parties ? I have the answer, free viagra and legalization of marijuana....This country needs a lovefest not a cold shower......

Well, I avoid them like the plague !!! I can't tell the good ones from the bad ones so I avoid all rag-heads and burka-clad beeatches.
So you avoid at least one quarter of the world's population?

Can you tell Sikhs from Hindu's? Limit yourself to just Christians? How do you shop? Where do you buy gasoline? What hotels do you stay in? How about doctors? Only choose Christians?

To save this country from the free-spending liberals.....they are in la-dee-da land !! Fix welfare....urine test required to get any $$$. Fix the illegal immigrant problem. We spend many millions on them and they are not even suppose to be here.

San Fran Nan embraces them because San. Fran. is a sanctuary City......WTH!!

We want to wake up America and find all that lost $$$ out there.

There has only been 11% of the stimulus $$ paid out...why did he need it so quickly? Will he give it back??? Probably not:dissapointed:

Re: Obamanation here today

Fact, I do walk in stores and turn my arse around and walk right out. I shopped a car dealership and left when they sent Mohammed to help me.

I don't care if they were 1/2 the population, I would still avoid them. I'm adamant about that. Look at that poor girl in Ohio afraid to go back to her family for fear of an honor killing. Those people believe in that!!! We had a whole family wiped out here in San Clemente.....Mom ,Dad, 2 daughters an granny....dad did it!! Shot them all.

I have Jewish friends, black friends and white friends (some Christian, some not) I have a gay couple as neighbors and have a coffee date with them every Thursday. My tolerance does not extend to those that killed a couple thousand people in the twin towers. You run those news reels of the planes slamming into those 2 buildings. I can't forget and I can't forgive. Did you see the welcome home celebration for the Lockerbee bomber??? Those idiot people were happy that he klled 187 Americans and others. I know he's from Libya.....I'm lumping them all together.

I'm putting lots of flags out on 9-11. I will pray for all of those killed and their families. What else do you want to know??

The Republicans were in charge for nearly a decade, and these are not new issues. Why was nothing done when you were in charge?

Trust me Diesel, Im not your ex, I have a few, but I havent lost count:surprised:
And I am so very sure you would just be Unforgettable. Im none of the things you describe, but tax cuts, tea parties, and a little legal pot could warm me up:surprised:
Ill be fine in my little conservative world, being the minority at my workplace, and Ill pray for you in yours, and every now and then we may agree, you just never know til you try.
One thing I like about being in the minority is everyone basically leaves me alone, and I so like that!

Okay, contrary to your viewpoint, 'black box' is a term that has a meaning in technology, and does not ONLY refer to flight data recorders. A 'black box' is a gadget that does things, only the outside observer has no way of seeing what is inside. I was referring to the other usage of the term, and was NOT referring to flight data recorders.

It's clear you have no interest in fact-checking, since you obviously did not follow the links I gave you. What part of 'computer monitoring of key words' is unclear to you? Computers do the first sifting, then flag things for real live people to follow up on. And the computers never sleep, and you can always hook more of them into the loop.

These are facts. This stuff is still being litigated. It doesn't matter whether you believe it or not, the technology exists.

Re: Obamanation here today

you're supposed to be fact check and you just turned six years into a decade?

They gained control of both houses of congress in 1996, didn't they? "Contract with America' and Newt Gingrich? and lost control of one house in 2006. Sounds like a decade to me.
