I went with an on-road sup today and we didn't take any 15 minute breaks, just a fat one hour lunch.............at 4 fricking 30 pm. Got back to the building around 8:15

Worst day of peak I've had so far. Over 220 stops in a crappy area with houses 1/4 mile from the streets.

The on-car was driving, as he knew the area better. Every route is different. 220 stops on one route takes 2x longer on another. It's all relative. He drove and sorted, I ran.

Are there laws that say an employer has to give an employee a paid break (s)???

Not all states require breaks, Kansas come to mind.
