Senior Staff eligible for Pay Increase?

    Hi everyone, first post here but an avid reader for a long time.

    When the memo came out regarding the salary freeze for FT Sups and Mgrs, I felt the wording was pretty weird. While I'm not usually pessimistic, one of the first questions in my mind was if higher level staff would be still be elegible for pay increases this year.

    Talking to a fellow management person today and he said that he had heard that District Mgr level and above were going to get increases this year. This person works in an area that I would expect he would get somewhat reliable information.

    Now, I understand the corporations' position in trying to be proactive in our economy and freezing pay where they can rather than laying off management. However, to give raises to those who make the most and freezing the pay of the lessor paid management staff just doesn't sound right.

    For any of you fellow management members, have you heard a similar rumor and can you provide any insight to whether it is true or false?

    We will find out when they release the salary info on the top brass. It will be interesting to see.

    I see a lot of ft management seeking other jobs if this were to happen

    Me for one...if this were to happen, it would be an example of very poor leadership.
    That's the reason I don't think it will happen.
