Operations are only open Monday to Friday , no nights and weekends.
Lack of truckers and warehouse workers willing to work nights are some of the problems.
These were in short supply during regular hours and are extremely difficult to put in place for a 3 a.m. shift.
And there is a shortage of truck chassis themselves.
On the good side the Port of Long Beach has already met all their 2023 emission-reduction targets by cutting emissions from ships, vehicles, and equipment.
