That quote was to area 43. He must be your comrade. :tongue_sm

My point highlighted again. along with the propagdist rhetoric you have also learned to acuse anyone that disagrees with you of being management. In my case you're right. In his case I believe you're accusing a steward of being management.

This is what they call strong arming as wkmac clearly pointed out. Go ahead and open your mind to new ideas that were not pre printed in the socialist workers handbook.

just think even lenin had to step out of the box at one time.

All spin & no facts!

Mr. Ironshot, for someone like yourself that has boasted of being non-union/anti-union, pehaps you should find a topic or website more suitable to your taste. Unless of course you enjoy spreading hate and discontent.

Let me correct you Mr. Bill the IE Engineer/ Company man. Those that chose to elect James "Jr." Hoffa aka "Mr. No Show", can be thanked for the problem created in the Central States Pension fund. !

i DON'T THINK YOU'VE BEEN AROUND LONG ENOUGH TO MAKE THAT COMMENT? OR PERHAPS YOU'RE JUST A MANAGEMENT/ HOFFA SUPPORTER. DIG OUT YOUR CONTRACT BOOKS AND COMPARE THE LANGUAGE FROM THE CAREY NEGOTIATED CONTRACT, TO HOFFA'S. TRY COMPARING THE TOTAL NEGOTIATED CONTRACT. WHAT CREDENTIALS DOES THIS HOFFA HAVE? OH....YOU MEAN HE'LL NEGOTIATE THE BEST CONTRACT FOR THE COMPANY...I GET IT !

A group of UPS workers, with encouragement from management, is attempting to oust the Teamsters Union on a national scale. This outfit, the American Parcel Workers Association, is a wrong turn down a blind alley for Teamsters who want positive change.

skimming your posts shows you're consistent in delivering flowery propaganda and accusing anyone who disagrees with you of being management.

By now I'm sure they won't admit it.

At the same time I did enjoy this post of yours. while brief it did appear to indicate that you may be able to speak normal every day english when you put your mind to it. Why not try it for a while. Instead of posting everything in propagandist rhetoric why not try speaking in plain old ordinary english. :thumbup1:

Again, I don't drink Koolaid. If area 43 's a steward, then I'm sure he can answer for himself, or do you speak for him also? It seems to be all about control with you. Always trying to keep the ducks inline. We'll agree to disagree, as usual.

Why don't you skim the sadistic and sexual innuendo quotes from early on that you posted. Remember those? There are many here that haven't forgotten the real you.

Okay you still had a little rhetoric in that one but overall it was a little bit better. Keep working at that plain english thing and I think you can get the hang of it.

I would expect someone who claims to enjoy being whipped as much as you do would also enjoy the sexual posts.

Much better job of speaking english. Keep up the good work. :thumbup1:

By the way I love this exchange. You hate management with a passion. You revovle your whole life and existence around your hate for management. Look how quickly the fangs come out when you are challenged. You expect each poster here to be a mindless hate filled drone like yourself. when one balks you quickly chastise them for being a management person. Its your whole mostis operandi and its so easy for me to expose you for what you are. If there were no management on this earth you would quickly shrivel up and fly away. You'll be a lost puppy when you retire because you will have no management close by to hate. Hell you even hate those who manage your union. I love it. keep posting in real english so we can all enjoy all of your hates and paranoias as they come spilling out.

Bravo Tieguy. Boy, you really got me pegged. Taking those quotes out of text of the whole conversation makes you a brilliant guy. Please, continue. Don't stop now, you're on a roll. You're gonna sleep well tonight.

and last for tonight but not least the fact is you're so far out in left field that I am actually more of a brother to these folks here then you will ever be. I actually care about the fact that they are not cashing in on their well deserved pensions. Meanwhile you keep feeding them more of that workers party rhetoric. Or you try to blame hoffa for a problem that actually esculated when carey was in office. Whats the fix ...ah lets vote carey II the sequel in so he can finish the job of destroying pensions that carey I started.

comon man the workers are starved for real solutions. think man whats the answer. I know twn says lets give em some rhetoric to ease their hunger pains. Gotta love it.

Easy there Hot rod, you've been huffing to much nitro! As far as Tie, you have no idea of the heated debates he and I have had in the past with one another. Do you? Or what? Do you speak for him now?

Had a problem with this post. I don't think you're approaching these forums as a place of mutual respect.

Look my Top fuel friend, I'm on your side, and understand how you feel.

Nothing wrong with passion but lets ease up on it a little, shall we?

Spoken like true management. Was that right from the book?

Insults or insinuations are NOT welcome here. Area is a reasonable individual. THINK before you type next time, OK? In fact, look at his bio on here. I think he was a union steward for a couple years. I could be wrong. If I am, I apologize in advance.

I'm not the bully.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA:lol::lol::lol::lol:. This was particularly hillarious considering the insult/insinuation you lobbed at Area43.

I had a problem with the summation of your two posts, not the legitimate arguments you made.

The hot rod and top fuel thing relates to wkmac being a race fan. He has a top fuel funny car as an avatar, so I'm sure he was able to relate. Nothing bullyish about it. Perhaps you're unfamiliar? No harm meant. As far as area43, perhaps I owe him an apology.

Tie, really why do you hate carey so much? I can see it in your posts when you think about him you go bananas on people. No one knows what carey would have accomplished over the long haul, but many of us have seen what hoffas done. He has forgotten about ups teamsters from what i read here everyday, but yet he still got elected. Why? Because upsers can not take the time to fill out 1 check and stick it into 2 enevelopes, lick it and mail it back out. Twn is posting articles from makeupsdeliver, and thank god tdu has that out there, thats our only voice in the contract talks right now.

Maybe you should lighten up on twn, and twn maybe you should do the same, but keep posting the updates brother, were down to 12 months and 2 weeks to thge end of our current contract.

I was gonna respond to this but nevermind. I'll just let it alone. Now that the sermon of the most high holy faithful is over what hymn # are we gonna sing and who will give the benediction?

What was this thread about anyway? It was...........uh..........oh yeah, it was about the talks being suspended. It got so far afield that my sometimers was starting to act up!

Woooow!!! I was a little slow to getting around to this thread. lol Didn't realize I was so popular. Due to time constraints I am limited on my thread viewing. First, what is with that name. Twnjrspc, I'll just call you twin, if thats ok with you. Anyhow, let me set things straight, I second want to thank all that defended me while I was not here. Third, Rocky is correct about my bio. I was a Shop Stewart for 3 years. Not to blow my own horn, but the teamster local rep(171) begged me to stay. I was burned out, I gave it my all, exhausted. Unfortunately my heart was not in it anymore.

I have wrote a couple long post addressing the CS plan disaster. I'm not going to type it all over again, but if you play a little CSI(subtract the criminal element lol) and go to the history of my post you will find them. I believe Twin, you'll enjoy it. Red, sure did, actually got some rep off it from him. lol

Back to the Teamsters, Twin, I am not anti-teamsters or anti-mgt. I sincerely believe you can be both without being two faced. Ok, In my next statement, I believe all Teamsters can agree on. Subtract the pension mess I have been basically satisfied with the Teamsters on the employee workers rights. Wage increases, benies, representation(now that can vary),griev proceedure, etc, etc. On the other hand, I see where as a stewart I had a big problem with this and have posted this before of crappy employee s hiding behind the Teamsters banner. Folks there has to be a deterent in changing an employees bad behavior. I as a stewart, would take that employee(no show, cuss sups out, come in late, etc, etc) and take him to the wood shed so to speak. Thats my pro mgt side,if you want to call it that. Believe me folks my Teamster local rep. like that side of me. Listen, its hard to defend someone that just blatantly breaks the rules.

The Pro Teamster, side I would aggressively take on the company. When they unjustly harrassed an employee by warning letter, suspension or termination. I could make(not to blow my own horn) the center manager eat his own words. Most decisions by mgt was either reversed or reduced. Again, I have just over 300 post. Some or just joking around post, but you will find some gold nuggets on combating mgt.

In closing, Thread Topic "UPS Bargaining Suspended", Big deal, dont sweat over it. Think about it. Its really out of our hands. Let Ride. LOL

My pro teamster side is I would aggessively

Easy there Hot rod, you've been huffing to much nitro! As far as Tie, you have no idea of the heated debates he and I have had in the past with one another. Do you? Or what? Do you speak for him now? And no, I'm not a part of the CS Plan. My point was simply put. Why did the majority of the Central States members, vote the Hoffa Aministration back into office a second time, knowing full well the condition of your fund? Don't dance around the issue, the numbers don't lie. Where were you when you had an opportunity to step up and vote them out, my union brother? What was your role in trying to reform your situation back them.

Look my Top fuel friend, I'm on your side, and understand how you feel. We all had an opportunity to Dump Hoffa, and reform, but we failed, and that's what upsets me. The Central States Pension was a hot topic during last falls election, and all of us Teamsters, CS or not, realized what happened to you, could happen to us. I was shocked to see how the CS voted, let alone the rest of the country. Unfortunatley it takes situations like this to bring people together, so there's no need to go on the attack with me, I'm not the bully.

I would like to address the Hoffa vote again. Lets break it down, I could be wrong on some aspects so please fell free to correct me. Ok, here it goes. I believe the retirees get too vote in the Teamsters presidential elections, If thats the case I believe the majority would have voted with Hoffa. Thats a sizeable chunk of votes. Those retirees will strongly vote with the incumbent, their check is still coming in and they are more resistant to change. Voting their pocket book and folks, those retirees will vote. High turn out(mail in balloting). The next majority chunk of votes to hoffa, comes from the active working members that have stable or well off retirement funds-the west, and the northeast down to Virgina. Again, they are voting their pocket book, perhaps and dont see a need for a change. Then there is the CS active working members group that could very well had ledman in the (maybe small) lead over hoffa(Im not sure on the total,my assumption). Remember Folks Im not talking about the CS retired members here.

Twin, do you get where Im coming from. My guess is that the number of active working members in the CS plan voted against Hoffa, but it really didn't matter. On a national level they were totally out numbered.

Tie, really why do you hate carey so much? I can see it in your posts when you think about him you go bananas on people. No one knows what carey would have accomplished over the long haul,

Carey was presented with an opportunity to fix the pension plans once and for all 10 years ago. Carey instead lined up strike loans, hired marketing firms to sell the strike he was about to perpetuate and stalled until august 1st when he ran for the door to seek his own personal glory. In the process he killed any chance to have a serious discussion with the company about fixing the pensions. We then went out on strike for 15 days. While out it is my guesss based on the meetings that took place that the secretary of labor at that time threatened both sides with government regulatory action if we did not settle quickly. The result was one of the most rushed and most poorly written contracts in ups history.
So now here we are 10 years later watching hard working upsers everywhere getting screwed out of their pensions and hoping ups can somehow pull off a miracle for the central states pension plan recipients.
I'm not obsessed with Carey , I don't go bannanas when someone mentions his name but I will damn sure make sure you hear what carey and the tdu did your pensions.

but many of us have seen what hoffas done. .

I'm not really interested in Hoffa. To be honest he seems like is a quiet leader not out there making speechs as much as carey. Otherwise I don't know much about him.The only impact I have seen of him is that from a feeder perspective hoffa seems to have done more to crack down on the use of contractors then anyone prior to hoffa. Other then that I couldn't really tell you anything about hoffa other then I appreciate his support of some of ups's legislative interests in congress.

NEW YORK, July 16 (Reuters) - United Parcel Service Inc. said on Monday contract talks with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters are temporarily recessed while the company awaits information from pension funds that cover its workers.
"The main negotiating committees from the two sides are not meeting right now solely because we are waiting for some additional information," UPS spokesman Norman Black said. "Until we get this additional information we'll stay in recess."
The national committees met last week. Talks on local issues and contract riders are continuing, Black said, adding he does not know when UPS will get the pension fund information.
Last week, the Teamsters said contract negotiations with UPS were "temporarily suspended" because the company was unable to respond to the union's demands. The union said it is willing to resume negotiations with UPS as soon as the package carrier makes a proposal on health care coverage and retirement benefits.
"The talks are not suspended at all. They haven't broken off, or broken down, or anything like that," UPS's Black said.
