UPS workers approve regional agreement; others remain in negotiations - Business First
The regional contract, which was a supplement to a national agreement that already had been approved, covers geographically specific work rules, seniority and grievance procedures and acts as a supplement to a national contract between Teamsters and UPS that was approved earlier this year.
Louisville’s Teamster’s Local 89 was against the supplement. Only 488 Local 89 members voted for it, and 3,580 voted against it.
Despite the approval of the Central Region supplement by rank and file members, several other contract supplements must be approved before the national agreement may take effect.
