If I pay for them, why not? Do you actually believe you have some other purpose to the American state other than as a revenue source? Are you saying that repeating a few words and genuflecting to a piece of cloth is the only way I or you can be a legit American? If true, then how come you revere the folks called the founding fathers who created this nation in the first place however not only did they not say a pledge or participate in a national anthem, they saw no need to even create either one in the first place. Why were the first one's to advocate such things calling themselves socialists? Are you a socialist too? Their goal was to create a strong nationalism and it appears they were very successful.
And believe your myths but soldiers die for purely political and economic objectives along with the survivability of the state apparatus at all costs and not for the purpose of protecting my freedoms or anyone else. If protecting freedoms is true, looking at the massive erosion of personal and economic freedoms over the last 50 years in this country, the American soldier is an absolute failure!
As I said, you can love people, place and community but that does not require some delusional loyalty to a group of people who lie their asses of to us all the time, they don't give a
about us other than as a revenue source for their own greed and all they want to do to us is dominate us to their own ends.
