Almost exactly five months ago there was a good amount of discussion on these boards about the laying off of air drivers in at least certain NYC hubs. The future of air drivers has come up at other times as well.
What's going on presently? Anything new happen anywhere? Are FT drivers still doing NYC air routes? Have the changes made in NY either been planned for expansion or actually occured in other cities this year? Or have the NY changes perhaps prooven to be a failure and air routes have been restored?
Personally speaking, out of the Midwestern hub I work out of, there no significant changes have been either made or announced. Perhaps the biggest thing, and its been occuring in the past couple of weeks, some air drivers were switched to slightly later start times, 15 min, usually.
