Normally I wouldn't take it inside but I did make exceptions a few times for people who physically couldn't handle it. Never for someone who is young and healthy but just lazy.

I always use the one foot in, one foot out rule. I’m not allowed inside your house ma’am but I can set it inside the doorway for you.

I will usually bring anything inside the main doorway just enough to shut the door if they don't look strong enough to move it themselves. I will bring it to wherever they like (within reason) if they're old or handicapped (as mentioned above).
