2018 contract

    Do we want a more cohesive and motivated (Part Time) work force? Provide a fifteen dollar an hour start rate and heath care after 6 months. They will work safer, smarter and harder. Also, this would reduce overall turn over and make the ultimate goal of UPS a reality. CUSTOMER SERVICE

    Tbh healthcare after a year is fine where its at for part timers. We just need to increase the wage because most of the people we hire are kids and college dudes that have no interest in health care because they're on their parent's.

    Usually they don't have a problem working hard either but won't for 11 an hour...

    Besides name one part time job anywhere that gives healthcare at the level us part timers have

    Ever seen a pter making 26 an hour? Your wrong. Also, union has failed new hires maybe except for the northeast region or on the west coast.

    This contract makes it pretty obvious that UPS doesn't care about keeping part timers around...why pay a part timer with 10 years seniority $20 an hour when they can get a new guy, train him up in a couple days and pay him half of that.

    Ups doesn't care about any of us, that's old news. Its the union reps that are "fighting" for us we're concerned about

    Part timers still pay dues.

    But, it's not based in reality.


    You might get the occasional kid that grew up on a farm, and has performed physical labor.

    Or, played sports.


    The work force of today, is a bunch of dough boys....

    There is no “Union” at UPS.

    Every driver now is out for himself, what can everyone do for me. As highlighted by the comments on Part Timers here.

    Disposable? Believe me everyone at UPS is just that. You think you’re some superstar driver?

    Think again.

    You’re a nobody.

    Nothing. Just a cardboard transporter in dumb shorts and a hat.
