George Mason University Professor of Economics Walter Williams asks the hard questions about both rightwing and leftwing welfarism but at the heart is the right, no, the moral standing to initiate and use force towards benefiting societal ends. Williams' probing of our society with the standards of the Non-Aggression Axiom is a good and needed thing IMO.
Does one American have a moral right to live at the expense of another American? To be more explicit, should Congress, through its taxing authority, give the Bank of America, Citibank, Archer Daniels Midland, farmers, dairymen, college students and poor people the right to live off of the earnings of another American?
