Is there any way around these bull:censored2: denials? I’m disabled, how can they deny that?
You can appeal. Of course it appears, you're appealing to the same people that denied you. There are attorney's who take these case on contingency, but it really appears you end up doing all the work, and only then will they enter. GOOD LUCK WITH AETNA!! You'll need it.

The OP needs to type the "name of his state" followed by "insurance commission" in his browser. Contact them.

Here is an example:
Wyoming insurance commission:

Department of Insurance

EDIT: see the tab that says "consumers"?......that would be you.
see the tab that says "contact us"?....contact them.

Example only.

Aetna motto is DENY, DENY, DENY...they WANT to beat you down till u don't pursue it further...what SCAM operation if there ever was one...that's how they stay in biz ...collect premiums and NEVER payout...great biz plan if u can get away with it...I thnk they shld be shut dwn....CROOKS in a word...

As it turns out short term disability is paid by Amalgamated Life through Local 804. Aetna only grants you a leave of absence so you’re guaranteed to still have your job when you come off disability.
