Amazon contractor delivered 1byone.com package on Friday

Deplorable.
I hope you are just joking and don't think that is what would actually happen. If UPS did lose Amazon they would just lay off a bunch of people / combine routes and things would still be a cluster friend. I don't know what UPS was like pre 1970's but when I started in 71 it was a cluster friend and it will be forever. Its just the way they like to operate.

I'm very serious.

Amazon is maybe 2% of our total volume but 90% of our headaches during peak.

We handled 4.7 billion packages in 2015 according to the UPS pressroom.

We got roughly 30% of Amazons 600 million in 2015 (180,000,000).

Mathematics will show you theyre roughly 3.83% of our volume. No, not 2%, but certainly not 7% either.

So for those of us who pull legitimate routes (you can see yourself out now, Upstate), the difference of 3.8% on a 300 piece route is 12 pieces. Anyone think UPS is going to start panicking over missing 12 pieces per car? I dont.

3.8℅ less packages = 10%less routes.

UPS math.

Of the 400 pkgs I delivered today at least 50-75 were Amazon.

Fortunately for us as drivers, there's ORION now. They're so obsessed with us being unefficiently efficient that they're forced to roll the routes.

Split car rolled on my area today (yes, a split on a Monday) and us three regulars maybe a 7.8 planned day.

So in the real world it was 9 and a half?:-)

And how about car insurance if you get into an accident?
You are obligated to inform you insurance that you are using the vehicle for commercial use, otherwise they could deny a claim based on the original application for insurance where it was stated the vehicie wod be used for personal use.
Be a VERY good idea to raise the liability limits as well!
