Wasn't it Fingerhut that doomed UPS?

I remember those Fingerhut and LL Bean days. And how about Swiss Colony Cheese? They would send out thousands of little boxes of gift cheese right before Christmas. Check blanks were another one. Back in the days when everybody paid everything with a check my truck was crammed with little boxes of checks. Those accounts all went away---so could Amazon.

I keep hearing that but when I look in all of the trucks I see much more than 1.6%. I think corporate is low balling that number to keep the stock holders at ease.

My route is in the ghetto so I deliver lots of big stupid crap from Fingerhut that people can't afford.

Maybe amazon is 2% of total volume, but 20%+ of total stops.

Is it against UPS policy if I sign up for Amazon flex driver program since I'm only a part time air driver for UPS? Thus sux I need to wait for one year before I can bid for FT position. So can I do this gig with Amazon until then? Or UPS will not allow this?

Probably be frowned upon, and you'd have to really keep an eye on your DOT hours.

I think ups might have put a loyalty clause in the contract now. After one of my transfers, I was laid off 4 days in a row. I asked the ba what jobs were off limits. He said none. I think that was 2011.

So if no loyalty clause then it's safe to say I can pick up xtra works for Amazon be your own boss driver then right ?
