They get taken out. I am a w2 employee.

At least I have an assigned area & vehicle that I take home with me.

My local area have drivers in white cargo vans, but no Amazon logos. Just a subcontractor company name called, "Same Day Delivery"

I may be tempted to try Amazon flex, but I don't have a modern smart phone

Flex isn't a bad option, I did it for a few months. It's great pay for 2-3 hrs of work but getting shifts can be competitive. The main downside tho is it takes a toll on your car after a while.

Yeah, flex would be a good option for me since I am mechanically inclined. Oil changes and brakes are easy to do...
