The Driver
I drive.
We really can’t. It’s a DIAD prompt. Would have to falsify a signature. DR function doesn’t work at all.

I'm not sure if I want to waste my time trying to explain this to you or not.
Leaving 297 packages at the back door of a closed Post Office branch is just begging for them to be stolen.
DRing a Surepost outside of the locked front door of a closed business (NOT THE P.O.) on a Friday evening when they don't re-open until Monday morning is just begging for it to be stolen.
Oh, I agree.
The latter is at least a method.
...and what would you say to the business owner when he asks you why you left his stuff outside of his locked front door...?
I would tell them to call 1-800-PICK-UPS and that I was instructed to leave all SurePost at address and that we're not to take them for a ride.
I would give him/her the LOCAL phone number.

We have gone through this before.
Follow the damn diad prompts and quit playing hero.
"We have gone through this before...." Do you think you're my father??
If I were, you can bet your ass that you would still be working.
How is this any different from one of us DRing a Surepost outside of a closed business?
...and what would you say to the business owner when he asks you why you left his stuff outside of his locked front door...?
Because I am your dad, and I said so.Why? I met both the age and years of service requirements to receive a full pension. Staying beyond that would have netted me a whopping $100/month increase. Not worth it.
That's what the shipper is paying for.DRing a Surepost outside of the locked front door of a closed business (NOT THE P.O.) on a Friday evening when they don't re-open until Monday morning is just begging for it to be stolen.

That's batting practice. If the owner gave me attitude, I'd tell him he's free to pay for a higher grade of service. Choose "free shipping" at your own risk.
