Anybody else getting complaints about the implementation of DIM weight change?

UPS still has the most customer friendly shipping program (Worldship) & pick up procedure of all the shipping services. If that were not the case, many other would've probably bolted by now.

If the post office keeps getting our customers and most likely FedEx customers too, are they going to have the same fate as dhl? Because if they keep getting extra work and will have to add more trucks and drivers, they will be losing money......... right? The USPS work force is unionized and after 10 hours they get double time.

It seems half the employees at the post office are "casual" labor which means they get paid less and little or no benefits.

One thing being overlooked here. This will make shippers downsize their packages to only what is necessary. The smaller the packages, the more fit into a package car. Don't think IE didn't already think of this.

They need to redesign the inside of the package car. Maybe remove one of the shelves, to accommodate the extra large (freight) packages that we deliver.

If you take away the ridiculous pension costs they incur, they actually make a lot of money. In the end it doesn't really matter, since they are a government corporation they will always exist.

We have actual gotten customers back because of the pricing. We had one shipper who splits volume between us and ground. They would average 300 larger pieces a day. It dropped to about 100 before peak. We're right back up to over 300 pieces now. Another customer was similar. But they send about 50 oversized pieces a day. Gotta admit. Nobody below FT was upset that we lost that account. Everything is 6 feet tall and weighs about 100 pounds.
