I agree with the article. The timing is odd. I bet the old man is spinning in his grave.

He held off on the much needed infrastructure investments for waaaaaaaaaaay too long and only likes to hear what he wants to hear from his knot of friends he has put together on the Management Committee. He's been in over his head for a while now.

We lost the opportunity during the recession years. We had cash piled up and never invested in capex. You couldn’t get a door knob fixed during the recession.

Could not agree more, they We started playing catch up paying the contractors bonus money to get hubs built on schedule or early. We could have saved so much $$ if we thought ahead and purchased the land in 2008. Davis sat on his hands and did not spend anything. That is why Amazon moved forward they could not wait for us to build a network that they needed
