Just a friendly heads up, UPS does not pick Up the tab for any porn that you authorize on your hotel TV when your at Integrad. Found that out the hard way. Had to work out a payment program with the hotel.

You passed integrad with flying colors?! I got kicked out of integrad, then practically failed it on my second try. I’m a top swing driver in the hardest center at my hub; tools ace that corporate BS. See more brown, you go be a supervisor…

If school was cake for you, do it again, get paid, and consider it a mini vacay.

Just wanna second this before saying, as a driver at UPS, there's not many principles for you to stand on. Past that, as a 22.4 driver, you can pretty much drop the word from your vocabulary.

You'll be a company bitch boy. You'll be out 4-5hrs past almost every RPCD every single day. Get a light dispatch and finish by 4pm? Ohhhhh boy, you're not done yet, because on your way back to the building you'll get a message directing you to go take stops off of somebody so that they get off the clock earlier.

You don't matter. You won't matter. Unless you get into an accident, then all they'll be talking about is you and how you lost your job for a weeks' worth of PCMs. After that week? Nobody remembers you. If you're lucky you'll be inside slinging cardboard, if you're unlucky then you won't have a job at all.

Running won't help you. It'll get you an attaboy at best and it will cost you your job (or somebody's life, God forbid) at worst.

Slow down. Take your lunch. Stop trying to beat the computer. One stop at a time until it's all done, and if it doesn't get done.... well :censored2:, you did your best and worked within their rules. Tomorrow's another day.

As far as your actual question: Just take a ride with the center manager and go through your DoK with him. It's not hard, unless you don't know it. If you don't want to do that, then go to Integrad for a week. You did it once when it was hands-on-- imagine how much of a breeze the virtual training is going to be. It'll be the easiest paycheck you'll earn for quite a while.

As a female driver who has been with UPS going on 20 years, I also never wanted to play the woman card. I also know they do discriminate and many members of management have looked at me and just thought I wouldn’t be able to do the job. I think you should absolutely stand up for yourself if you believe you are being treated differently because you are a women and you know of male employees in the same situation that were not subjected to the same treatment.

So for some context here, I went to Intergrad in 2019, passed with flying colors, and have been an air driver ever since. I've done every seasonal period, driving full routes in a package car, usually blind. I run in at scratch or under 99% of the time I've run routes and I know almost all of them in our building. I am a good driver is essentially what I'm saying. Dont worry, I'll pat myself on the back. So I put my name on a bid sheet for becoming a 22.4 driver, have the highest seniority out of those that sign up, and whatdya know? Been to school and know what I'm doing so should be able to just start on a training route when the time comes, right? EHHHHHHH wrong. This last peak season they sent a kid to school for seasonal driving, and he failed. He passed the written portion but failed the two days driving (covid school, three days online two days in a hub. Mind you I went to INTERGRAD in PERSON and *ing DEMOLISHED that *), just wasn't confident in the truck apparently. Well I guess our centers old center manager and one of our FTS called the school and asked them to push him through because "he was only going to be shuttling for peak season". Apparently it was talked about and understood between everyone involved that he would have to go back to school and pass it on his own to become an air or FT driver. Coolcoolcoolcoolcool, why is this relevant, right?? That's what I thought. We got a new center manager this month, and he has decided that because this kid needs to go back to school, I do as well. When I spoke to him about it, confused, and with a slightly hurt ego, he said, "well if you think that you don't need school, I can take you both (the kid who failed and me) out individually and test your 10 pt commentary, plus your 5s and 10s and if you do well then we'll go from there."
???¿¿¿??? I don't know how to start this paragraph without blowing up dramatically, so - WHY IN THE * am I being compared to this kid who failed? How is it my fault, or problem, that they decided to falsely pass him. That's between him, upper management, and the school he went to. There is no grievance procedure here besides discrimination, which I mean, it kind of is I think? I do not play the woman card ever and I don't want to because I know it'll rock the boat and it will not end well for me. But for * sake, why? Ive thought about the other side of it and yes it would be an easy 40 hour week at driver pay, I've passed Intergrad, of course I'm gonna pass this stupid zoom *, right? Sure! Except it's the *ing PRINCIPLE. It's wrong that I am being sent back for something that has nothing to do with me. Period. No other air driver that has gone into a FT driving bid position at our building has had to go back to school. I do not know how to address this formally, because every time I've tried I get shut down and told to appreciate the opportunity. Which is a whole other bag of garbage I am not ready to dump out at this time. Please lend me some advice. Thank you all in advance
If this upsets you, you won't last long at ups as a driver. What you described is in the bottom 5% of :censored2:ery that management does. Deal with it and move on or get another job.

you know of male employees in the same situation that were not subjected to the same treatment.

Seems to me the opposite is going on-- she's upset that she's being thrown into the same boat as somebody else through no fault of her own (have we even established that OP's a woman? I thought the replies were joking with their pronouns...)

And it's bull:censored2:, no doubt about it. This company's all about the bull:censored2:, though. You gotta get comfortable wading through :censored2: if you wanna wear the brown uniform, there's not much room to get around that fact.

I believe she said she felt it was discrimination and said she didn’t want to use the woman card. UPS definitely puts ALL their employees through a lot of bull*. I am just not a person who believes we need to just accept it.
