BIDEN BLOWS UP OIL PRICES BY CANCELLING DRILLING IN U.S. NOW BEGS OPEC

The US does not really need a huge petroleum reserve since we are a major oil exporter now. When the reserve was built the US was importing over half of the oil we used and was predicted to run out by the 21st century.
No thanks, I'll chance having oil insurance. What if a terrorist blows up a few refineries? Who knows how many evil doers Biden has let in?

You could say the US has a Strategic Reserve that hasn't been pumped out of the ground yet just to be pumped underground somewhere else. Currently the US is pumping so much oil we are running out of storage.
We have tank farms primarily in Cushing, OK. We have to sell the excess because we only have so much storage.

So taking oil out of one hole in the ground and pumping it into another hole in the ground makes it strategic? Makes perfect sense.
It makes sense if you aren't completely ignorant about the topic.

We can produce about 13 million barrels a day.
The reserve can hold over 700 million barrels.

Biden has been emptying it at an unprecedented rate. Probably took more out of it than every other president combined. The guy is an idiot.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

An idiot like all his supporters

Sounds like there is no shortage of oil in the US.
The oil companies are pumping as much as they can because of high prices. But the U.S. importing more oil means they have no choice but to send oil to refineries and ship the excess overseas as quickly as possible because we only have so much storage capacity. What we should be doing is cutting out the foreign oil and turn on all American sources. That means cheaper prices at the pump and more American jobs. And reduced transportation costs means cheaper groceries. Bringing oil here from the Middle East and Venezuela means higher oil prices and fewer American jobs while it enriches many countries who aren't our friends.

The US imports oil from foreign countries in exchange for military, food and manufactured goods in order to off set trade imbalances. The world economies still work on wants and needs.
