So poor obesity is a major problem? One could argue the poor people in America have one of the best standards of living for poor people in the world. I’m not sure why you think that’s a failure. Would you prefer poor people suffer more? Would increased desperation hurt or help our society?
You are so right about this. In what country other than the US do poor people have the perks of free housing, food, healthcare, cell phones, etc., etc. for LIFE?One could argue the poor people in America have one of the best standards of living for poor people in the world. Most people in developing nations are poor, but do not live on landfills. That's the very poorest in some countries. People are aghast that I've been to very poor countries and have lived for a time in some. Mexico has a 40% poverty rate for example. Most aren't in the street begging. They work very long hours, live in homes with several generations including extended family, and everyone contributes. I think Americans would be surprised to see how many cars are here, how many American restaurants, Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, etc. Most of the 60% of Mexico that aren't in poverty are still poor. But they get by. When people come to the U.S. illegally it's not because they're escaping some horrific circumstance(usually). It's because they can get much better pay which they can send home to build a nice home and/or start a business. Many Mexicans actually return to Mexico. It's others who have a much more difficult time getting here who usually stay. You are so right about this. In what country other than the US do poor people have the perks of free housing, food, healthcare, cell phones, etc., etc. for LIFE?
Poor people in Third world countries literally live on landfills and survive on what they find there. Poor people in the US are doing pretty well in comparison.
The US doesn't have those things. When I was making ~$14k a year, I made too much to qualify for Medicaid, food stamps, and the Obamaphone, and too little to qualify for Obamacare tax credits and affordable housing. The wait for Section 8 and public housing vouchers was over 5 years. You are so right about this. In what country other than the US do poor people have the perks of free housing, food, healthcare, cell phones, etc., etc. for LIFE?
Who wants the price of street drugs to go up?Poor people with more money increases demand. Demand creates jobs and increases prices.
Who buys their drugs on the streets? We have dispensaries for buying our drug of choice. Very reasonable with a medical card also.Who wants the price of street drugs to go up?
Show me your tits and I'll show you my tats!

Wut? Educated people have been fleeing the Republican Party for a while. You don’t think the educated successful class has basic financial sense?I love how underachievers always think those with financial success are villains and deserve to be punished. That's really what it comes down to. Jealousy; most of you liberals are too afraid to state what you make clearly obvious.
If you had basic financial sense, you can also shield your money; but you're basically too lazy so you state that those that are smarter and not as lazy as you are cheats and need to be penalized....
See? Rather than step up to the source of the hatred and jealousy, you try to dismember my comment. I was referring to a couple on here that think anything less than knuckle-dragging is not "work" and they should be penalized accordingly. There's a lot of blue collar-types that think the same way. Then there's the socialist who is on the opposing side of EVERY discussion unless it is aligned with his own beliefs. "Fleeing the Republican party" is, what? a way of "getting even" by having one less party member or because the Democrats/Independents have more to offer? There's a hundred reasons...most were obviously because of their distaste for Trump, McConnell, Graham, etc.....Wut? Educated people have been fleeing the Republican Party for a while. Educated people are becoming increasingly liberal. Your attacks on liberals being stupid and lazy is objectively incorrect.See? How many people are employed to work building those sports cars, to gather the raw materials, the different sectors that step in to provide tires for them, body kits, exhaust systems, fuel, etc.Sorry buddy but when the majority of your income comes from investments and you're making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year on those investments you're not a worker. You're just a lazy POS who wants to get paid for other people's work. Now you personally? I have no problem with your investments because you actually worked for it and you're probably living a relatively modest life. Not buying 12 mansions and 20 different sports cars.
