That's the entire point. Oil prices go up and down and are extremely vulnerable to geopolitical events that history has shown create wild price volatility in both directions as we saw last year. Not so much with electric utility rates. Then again living so cheap in Meceeko the upward movement in gas prices should have little to no direct impact on your life.

Doesn't matter what impact it'll have on my life. We had cheap gas which benefited hundreds of millions. You forget that before they can charge with electric they have to buy an electric car. So those who can't are hammered by high gas prices.

I don’t disagree with anything here. I’m a hard moderate. You are right, that Democrats and liberals prey on fear just as the GOP does, just in different ways. I simply believe the GOP to be the more evil entity. Compassion and progression are not staples of the GOP, unless you’re talking financial breaks for the rich.
I am a person ruled by morality, with no affiliation, critical of the poop I’m fed, trying to insert some reason into the world.
Each of these issues requires specific consideration, and I want to do the right thing for the country, at all times.

The moral thing is to build an economy that people can have a future in. The problem too many have with that is some get rich doing it. Well don't worry. Soon we'll have the great reset where companies will be judged by their ESG score. Capitalism as we know it is on the way out.

Capitalism as we know it sucks. We friend’ed it up. Exhibit A is the lack of wage progression to go along with inflation. Who are we capitalist for? The government? Big business? Or us? So why are OUR wages getting trashed?
Because capitalism is no longer responsible and balanced. I believe in capitalism, it’s the only way, but we suck ass at it right now. We’ve gotten worse as my life has gone along specifically; Clinton played the game beautifully, although not sustainably.....the bubble burst, then 9/11 and W changed the course of our priorities, spending, and therefore, the economy.

Free charging stations would be a good way for churches to slow if not reverse their dwindling attendance if not for the fact that for many so called "Christians" the internal combustion engine is their god.

If only we had been able to take the thousands of American lives lost and the trillions spent defending Middle East oil and dedicated it to EV's and clean fuel technology.... the nation as a whole might have been much better for it.

We are back to pretending that Biden will be bad for the Oil and Gas industry again? It can't get any worse than under trump, this industry lost tons of money, cut jobs, cut pay. I can assure you those refineries y'all champion want higher oil prices because demand will go up and they want to make money because they all lost a ton of money under trump, but whatever man. Y'all lost jobs, etc when the Saudis and the Russians drove oil prices down to zero, not anything Trump did. Trump reversed Obama's moratorium on drilling on Federal land, offshore, etc. We became energy independent under Trump. By the way, it's not about making your industry profitable. It's about delivering low fuel costs to all Americans. Your industry has to figure out how to make that work, not gouge people at the pump.
