And crying on the shoulders of conservatives in an effort to sway public opinion and gain public sympathy might not be very successful come April 15 when every other American with a tax liability has to pay up . Especially for those who are subject to withholding . Furthermore as the company CFO Weisselberg is going to have a hard time pleading ignorance of the law because he is essentially the company's treasurer and top accountant. Yes, he might find a way to get off. At the same time how ever the DA is willing to bet his career and the resources of his office on having a strong enough case to put it all on the line.
