The above links show that a EEOC case is in action and that is because UPS discriminated towards an individual whom had a beard. It turns out that the gentleman was a muslim and UPS failed to promote him because of his beard.
With that being said any person may grow a beard at UPS, due to the fact that no company shall discriminate against an individual based upon religious rights. The company may NOT dig into your claims of your religion and no where in the constitution does it mean you have to adhere to all parts of ones religion. Thus the company was in complete violation and that is how the EEOC got involved and if the company was smart they would adhere to ever changing society and the present of religion being more outspoken and change their policy or continue to be in court for violating basic rights of an individual and other discriminatory cases.
Did the guy have a beard on his face, and Bread in his hand?
