I love how so many are so concerned about a state they don't live in.
I think it was @Been In Brown Too Long that couldn't even bring up he lived in CA with out it turning into a big "california sucks" party from all you beard wearing sissys.

I don't care either way.
I just say it because people flip out when they hear it.
I'll give it the recognition of the views, women and weather...
But the weirdos and laws outweigh the good... But that's just my opinion. Which shouldn't upset some as much as it does since I don't live there.
People can poke fun at my midwest red state all they want... I won't cry about it and probably would laugh at the jokes with them.

I don't care if people mock CA, knock yourselves out. There's certainly no crying about it. So when @542thruNthru mentioned I couldn't bring up CA, it's more of a...Don't mention Disneyland in front of the kids until you're walking them through the gates...thing. The ones here with no useful information about the original topic decide it's CA pouncing time. The original subject gets lost. I like the funny jabs, but some are deadly serious and you can detect the venom. There are just some people that are so angry because some talking head on TV tells them to be. So, it's just easier not to mention it in the first place. But sometimes the specific info in a thread pertains to CA and you have to mention it.
Honestly, I don't give a sh&t what any of you think about CA, especially when I'm sitting poolside in October (some years November) or golfing year round, while you're all shoveling snow, dodging hurricanes and tornadoes, or have to drive days to see an ocean. Does CA have it's issues, of course. If there was a perfect place to live, I assume we'd all be living there. Oh, wait, no. Then it would cost MORE than CA if that's possible. But I've been to 41 of the 50 states, and the only place I'd leave CA for is Hawaii. And it has its issues too.
BTW, I'm glad you give your permission to mock your mid-west red state, cause we do it all the time anyway.
