Why why why? Saw a decent looking 2000 or newer f150 sitting in a yard today with 4 flat tires. Judging by the amount of leaves in the bed it's been sitting there since at least late summer. Get up to the house and there's a big sign. Truck not for sale sorry. I wanted to ask why not. There was another f150 in the drive that was no more than a couple years old.
I can at least somewhat understand the people with older cars that won't sell because "I'm going to fix it up". What I don't get is all the late model vehicles I see that never move and aren't for sale. I have offered to buy many parts and even a few of these whole vehicles. The answer is always no. I always see these things still sitting in the same place 3,4,5 years later. Why not make some money of your oversized paper weight?

People are hard to figure out. I know of several yards that have 10 -20 or more junk cars just rusting away in the yard. The houses are run down and I'm guessing the people don't have a pot to piss in. At the height of the scrap metal boom the scrap yards would pay $300 for a junk car. Why these hoarders didn't cash in on it I don't know. I know one guy who has probably 75 - 100 old cars (Model A's up through the 50's just rusting away in his yard). People have tried to buy stuff off him but he refuses to sell anything. People are weird.
