best 2 weeks ever
Congrats on retiring try getting a hold of your hr people.
I got half. Then was told I had to wait 30 days to withdraw the rest.I just retired 01/1/20. How long does it take to get cashed out for vacations and sick days?
Thanks
If you retire in november, will I get paid out for vacation earned that year or lose it ?
Every supplement.is different. We get paid for next year's vacation.I think you have to work one day into the new year to get paid for those weeks earned this year.
Got to hit 1801 hours here but if you work one day into the next year you get your personal days and sick days here.Every supplement.is different. We get paid for next year's vacation.
If you work until October you get all of next year's vacation time
I'd probably give up those two weeks to miss peak!Got to hit 1801 hours here but if you work one day into the next year you get your personal days and sick days here.
Damn skippy I see people coming back to work peak I will not be one of them.I'd probably give up those two weeks to miss peak!
Same here. Once I'm gone it's over withDamn skippy I see people coming back to work peak I will not be one of them.
….you have to work at least one day into the new year.
A lot of guys do that here, work the the first week in Jan then take all their vacation and retire in February just so they can get paid those 10 sick and option days.I know a driver that worked the first week of January and then took his 7 weeks vac/opt time. His last day, I think, was Feb 28.
The benefit of doing this is:
-health insurance for those 7 weeks;
-you accrue even more paid time (extra paycheck) for those 7 weeks as an "active" employee and;
-management never knows if you're gonna change your mind.
It seemed to work well for him.
