Citizen’s Arrest gone wrong Georgia

Inordinately Right
Anyone can read the police report. It basically says that 3 men, at least two of whom were armed, used to 2 separate vehicles to chase an unarmed man through the streets trying several times to intercept him or cut him off before finally shooting him in "self-defense". And all that information comes straight from one of the defendants. The police who did the initial investigation wanted to arrest the father and son (for obvious reasons), but were shut down by the DA who had a previous relationship with the elder McMichael. If the DA had let the police do their job at the time we might not even be talking about this.
Nice spin.

Think your interactions with police might be different than those of a young black man in the south?
You're most likely right, I would smile and ask the officer how I could help him.
I would refuse searching of my car interior.

I've done this twice ... once they went on their way.
The next , they got a search warrant to search my car.
They ran my two guns and they came back clean.
They did not find anything.
Afterwards, the detective asked why I did not allow search of my car.
I said, the officers did not have probable cause.
It was friendly and I was joking with them all along.

The next time I saw the two officers, I bought their lunch at my favorite restaurant.
We were laughing and joking.
BTW, one of them was African-American.

Luckily they got video of the thug attacking the guy with a shotgun. Give that a homie a posthumous Darwin award and let's move on.

Exactly. I mean how dare that dark skinned fellow first try to run away then fight the white man sticking a gun in his face while in the middle of a road after they chased him for sport in their trucks!

What's this world coming to when the black folk fight back as they are being lynched!!

You disgust me @DriveInDriveOut

Assist? You mean like a vigilante death squad.

you liberals are such drama queens ....with the other side. In some places they call it auxillary police officers. in the sound file from the property owner it sounds like the local police officer was offering the help of the two bubba's if he had any problems with people trespassing or vandalizing his property. That seems to indicate that local law enforcement was using them to assist them in the area.

to your dramatic point if it was a death squad they could have simply shot him from behind as he "jogged" down the street. In this case an objective (difficult for you to do) perspective would indicate that the two bubba's were at least attempting to detain the "jogger". i put jogger in quotation because i have yet to see where the victim was jogging before he came to the house and it is highly unlikely for a jogger to stop to check out properties . He was however jogging afterwards which could be an indication that he was fleeing or evading capture for whatever reason. Maybe he was trying to get away from the creepy white guys maybe he was fleeing for some other reason but its clear to me that its not likely he was out for a jog.
