Could you ever see unions making a large comeback and expanding membership?

Something I’ve been wondering about considering new polls show public support is at an all time high.

Would oh say it’s even possible given the circumstances we’re in like unions being legislated against like the Taft Hartley act , right to work laws , etc…

approval of and belonging to a union are different...decline of from 35% in the 1950's to 10% currently and would be less than that if all states were RTW states.....much work to be done ...perhaps the new union leadership will be able to salvage the marketshare..

No, because they sell out new guys to maintain the pay and pension of the old guys. So, new guys have no reason to care, join, participate, organize, or anything else.

Ironic considering the very same people in Unions voted in the Socialists that created those very programs and is continuing and accelerating....
Yep.

But unions these days support massive influx of labor competition to their members, and massive social programs that lessen the importance of union membership.

Nobody accused them of being smart.

They're all just garden variety liberals, like all large organizations.

Social programs were created by corporations to funnel money from the middle class to themselves. You cannot name a single govt program that does not benefit a private sector business

Even if that's true, it definitely hurts the need for a union.

None of our new hires care about the negotiated benefits.

Why? Medicaid.

None of our new hires who are students care about the tuition reimbursement.

Why? Most of them get school cheap or free anyway.

Who are you voting for in the TEAMSTER’S election?

Let me guess... Carol...
